In the beginning all was darkness. Â Gaea, Mother Earth, emerged from the darkness and gave birth to Oronous, the Sky. Â Oronous lay over Mother Earth and she bore six Titans, great, powerful gods; three Cyclopes, one-eyed giants; and three Hecatonchieres, monsters with fifty heads and a hundred hands.
